Hi I’m Loveley!

My name is Loveley, and I'm a gal from Michigan that says "omg" and "like" way too much.  I'm also a wife to an amazing guy, and a mother to 2 hilarious, sweet, and wonderful maniacs.  I love treasure hunting for vintage furniture and decor, staring at pictures of pretty homes, making things pretty, recycling, and working hard to save the planet.

What’s Honeymoon Vintage? It all started when…

Back in 2014, as a fun hobby, I started finding, refinishing, and reselling gorgeous vintage furniture on Craigslist. And then, in 2016, I decided I wanted to start blogging about my obsession with interiors and vintage furniture, so Honeymoon Vintage was born. I wrote blog posts and added a shop page to showcase my finds. I started my Instagram page, @lovelyloveley , at the same time to go hand in hand with HV. Well, in 2018 I wrote my last HV blog post before life just became too busy and writing for fun took a major backseat. Like, it moved right into the trunk.

Buuuuuuuut, now…

Honeymoon Vintage is ready to be reborn! Yippee! Over the last 5 years, a lot has changed, I’ve been doing less furniture selling, and more decor sourcing, home styling, and I’ve successfully staged 2 homes to sell.

HV is now offering design services so that I can share my styling fun with you! I can help you with styling/curating/decorating, staging, and sourcing the perfect furniture and decor items to make your home feel exactly the way you want it to. Check out Services to find out more about that!

You can also head over to my Portfolio page to see some of what I’ve staged and styled in the past.

My philosophy on furniture and home decor….

I believe in reusing existing furniture as much as possible. Probably 90% of all the furniture and decor in my home are vintage and/or secondhand. A few reasons: 1. They make homes look and feel interesting and unique. 2. It’s better for the planet. 3: It’s usually more cost effective. 4. I LOVE the thrill of the hunt for unique secondhand items. 5. In many cases, you just can't buy that kind of quality anymore, unless you want to spend a fortune - and I don't know about you, but if I had a fortune, I'd spend it on vacations and my own personal team of crime-fighting vigilantes instead.
